Annual Report 2004

  1. Overview

    1. The newsletter continued publishing during 2004, the core volunteers consisted of Dave Chris Joanne and Brian, we have at present a further six local volunteers and others throughout the country, we rely on the goodwill of the community to keep the information current and relevent, it was produced five times with a print of 4,500 except the tenth annerversary edition which was a run of 5,000.

    2. The accounts ended with £1,200 in the bank with all debts paid

  2. Main points

    1. Production

      1. We have produced five editions during this period.

      2. We continued to develop and the web site and do not intend to put the documents on the web until download bandwidth issues are resolved

      3. We have migrated to WordPerfect 12.

      4. We have still have not completed setting up the communications link between the locations.

    2. Distribution

      1. We are still producing about 4,500 copies per edition and its circulation area as ever seems reach people who are new and have not visited this area of life before, further also other uncharted area within the UK.

    3. Volunteers

      1. We have one main folder Brian who consistently folds and collates 2,000 copies per edition,

      2. Tim/Suki who produces the editorial and looks after the Walthamstow area

      3. Joanne who takes care of Islington,

      4. A number of other volunteers working out of Orpington area.

    4. Areas of Distribution

      1. Main major distribution is undertaken in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Scotland.

  3. Future Objectives

    1. Have access to copy on the web

    2. Better Distribution

    3. Fundraise for a positive balance to help develop profile and better recognition of the newsletter outside the community

  4. We still are hearing of the difficulties experienced and discrimination still is persistent with regards the Transgendered community. We hope the recent legislation dwill help transsexuals in this area

  5. Conclusion

    1. Another successful Year, and a special edition was issued to observe our tenth year
